The process
Call at the workshop or send us a few photographs and a description of what has gone wrong. We will tell you what we can look at and when.
We examine the metal, the settings and any stones under magnification, then give you a clear quote and an honest view of what the piece will take.
What we offer
Inherited stones and old metal can be reworked into something you will actually wear, from a simple resize to a newly designed setting.
Service scope
We mend broken links, replace worn jump rings and fit new clasps so a favourite chain goes back into everyday rotation.
Retipping worn claws, rebuilding a setting and re-seating a stone are done with the stone kept safe and the mount left sound.
Strands are restrung on silk or wire as the piece requires, with knots tied between beads and the clasp checked or replaced.
Ultrasonic cleaning, hand polishing and retexturing bring tired metal back to a finish that suits the age and style of the piece.
Old gold and inherited stones can be worked into a new design, whether that is a fresh setting or a piece made from scratch.
